OUR SERVICES

OUR SERVICES

At NJ Allergy & Asthma Care of Woodbridge, New Jersey, we diagnose and treat allergic conditions for patients of all ages – from infants and kids to teens and adults.

Woodbridge Allergy Testing & Treatment

NJ Allergy & Asthma Care provides patients in Woodbridge, and the surrounding townships, with allergy testing which is used in the diagnosis of environmental allergies (ie- dust, pollen, mold, dog, cat, etc.), drug allergies (such as penicillin), and food allergies.

In our office, we perform food challenges for those who may have outgrown food allergies such as milk allergy, peanut allergy, or egg allergy. Food challenges provide those patients with an opportunity to try a food that they were previously allergic to, in a safe and monitored setting.

We offer a test for penicillin allergy – Patients are often surprised to learn that more than 90% of people who believe they’re allergic to penicillin actually aren’t, and may be able to safely take the medication.

We also offer Allergy Shots (also known as Immunotherapy) to treat patients who suffer from environmental allergies. This treatment works to desensitize patients of their allergies. Other medications only work by treating symptoms of allergies temporarily, while allergy shots can be a cure.

Woodbridge Asthma Diagnosis and Treatment

At  NJ Allergy & Asthma Care we also diagnose asthma with pulmonary function testing and provide therapy. In addition to the existing treatments that you may already be familiar with, there are also newer medications that are called “biologics.” These medications are injected periodically to treat patients with severe asthma who previously had many asthma attacks requiring steroids.

Woodbridge Eczema Treatment, Contact Dermatitis Treatment & More

We offer treatment of the skin condition known as eczema. Treatment of this condition can include topical medications, as well as a new injectable biologic treatment for eczema.

We also offer treatment for contact dermatitis and chronic hives. Additionally, we perform patch testing for those patients who believe that they may be allergic to certain products that they use on their skin. For example, ingredients in makeup, soaps, detergents, hair dye, or eyelash glue.
